The probability of the Fed lowering interest rates in September has dropped to 71.5%.

On August 22, according to CME's "Fed Watch", the probability that the Fed will maintain the interest rate unchanged in September is 28.5%, while the probability of a 25 basis point rate cut is 71.5% (yesterday it was 82.4%). Previous reports indicated that the number of initial jobless claims in the United States for the week ending August 16 was 235,000, expected to be 225,000, and the previous value was 224,000.
