Arbitrum new approval of 45.815 million ARB long-term incentive plan optimization mechanism to promote ecological development
Arbitrum Long-term Incentive Pilot Program Approved, 45.815 Million ARB Will Be Invested in Ecosystem Development
On January 17th, the Arbitrum community voted on a long-term incentive pilot program. The results showed that the proposal to allocate 45.815 million ARB won with a support rate of 57.49%. Among them, 45 million ARB will be used for ecosystem incentives, and 815,000 ARB will be used to subsidize personnel involved in various tasks.
This decision marks a new stage in the development of the Arbitrum ecosystem. The previously implemented Short-Term Incentive Program (STIP) has achieved significant results, with various protocols experiencing substantial growth in user activity, total locked value, and trading volume. For example, the daily active users of decentralized exchange (DEX) projects increased by 118.72%, total locked value rose by 49.24%, and trading volume skyrocketed by 333.28%.
The new pilot program has made several improvements based on STIP. First, the incentive mechanisms are more flexible, encouraging protocols to explore diverse incentive schemes. Second, roles of committees and application advisors have been introduced to enhance the efficiency of project selection and feedback. Additionally, the application process has become more standardized, consisting of five stages: application, feedback, selection, voting, and incentives, each with clear timelines and objectives.
Members participating in the pilot program will also receive additional rewards. Among them, each committee member can receive 25,000 ARB, and each application consultant can receive 35,000 ARB. In addition, several reward programs have been established, including research bounties, data analysis, and project management, to encourage community members to actively participate.
It is worth noting that although the voting on Snapshot has passed, a subsequent on-chain vote must be conducted on the Tally platform to ultimately confirm the fund allocation. This process is expected to take another month and a half.
Overall, Arbitrum's long-term incentive pilot program demonstrates the community's confidence and determination for the sustainable development of the ecosystem. By optimizing the incentive mechanisms and improving governance processes, Arbitrum is expected to attract more quality projects and users in the future, further consolidating its leading position in the Layer 2 ecosystem.
