The founder of Slow Fog reveals a new method for stealing accounts on WeChat late at night, with OTC Trading in the crypto world becoming a key target for scams.

[Bitpush] Slow Fog founder Yu Xian stated that to verify the situation of WeChat account theft, attackers use leaked account passwords (various leaked data can be found with a probability), combined with frequently contacted friends of the target user (even just those who have added as friends or interacted in groups), to obtain a 6-digit verification code to carry out the theft. Attackers often collect their targets late at night, focusing on scams involving off-exchange U transactions in the crypto world. It is recommended to be cautious when adding friends on WeChat, change passwords in a timely manner, and pay attention to abnormal login risk alerts on WeChat.
