NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang discussed his observations on the Chinese Supply Chain, the future of AI technology, and NVIDIA's role in the US-China competition during an interview in Beijing on July 20. He stated that the global Supply Chain is closely interconnected and will not depeg, and that a balance between competition and cooperation can be found between the US and China.

China is a key hub in the global Supply Chain.

Jen-Hsun Huang emphasized that China has the largest, most complex, and most diversified Supply Chain in the world. Not only does it produce for itself, but it also manufactures components, control systems, and parts, playing a key role in the global supply chain. Even as the global supply chain begins to push for diversification and build redundancies, they will still be interconnected and cannot completely depeg, due to the high complexity of the industries. The United States is also unlikely, and unnecessary, to produce everything by itself, while China's supply chain expertise is more likely to be exported worldwide in the future.

He said that the Chinese market is quite unique, with the largest number of engineers, the most computer scientists, and the largest consumer population in the world. The consequences of not participating in the Chinese market are hard to predict, but it is unlikely to be a good thing.
