A Shanghai Free Trade Zone, Lingang New Area, will celebrate its 5th anniversary in August 2024. The People's Bank of China Shanghai Headquarters, the Shanghai Branch of the Foreign Exchange Bureau, the Lingang New Area Management Committee, financial institutions in the area, and local enterprises maintain close communication, guiding financial institutions to actively innovate unique financial products and service models, and support the establishment of an emerging financial experimental zone in Lingang New Area. Firstly, expanding the use of the renminbi in key areas; secondly, supporting the development of new offshore international trade; thirdly, guiding small and medium-sized enterprises to hedge against exchange rate risks; and fourthly, focusing on enhancing the level of shipping financial services.
