Solana (SOL) Foundation announced the winning project of the hackathon competition.
Solana Foundation announced the winning project of the latest hackathon competition. Ore, a new cryptocurrency that allows anyone to mine using a new proof-of-work algorithm on the Solana blockchain, has won a grand prize of $50,000 and a place to participate in Breakpoint 2024, which will be held in Singapore on September 19-21.
More than 8,300 participants came together to present 1,071 final projects to the jury, making Renaissance the largest online Solana hackathon to date.
Symmetry, Phantom, IO.NET, Pyth, Orca, Solana Mobile, Squads, and Brave have joined the Solana Foundation as sponsors for the hackathon, offering crypto founders a platform to jumpstart their journey.
Dan Albert, director of the Solana Foundation, made the following statements in the details of his statement:
Solana Hackathons are the epicenter of startup formation in the ecosystem, and Renaissance was no exception. A new wave of highly skilled developers and founders is building promising products that will continue to drive mainstream crypto adoption.
