Ripple received an important license that only a few companies can hold
Singapore subsidiary Ripple Markets APAC announced that it has received a major payments institution license issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). After reaching an agreement in principle for Ripple's license application in June, the license was officially approved this week.
Ripple's acquisition of the MPI license in Singapore caused the company's local presence, XRP, to be positively priced.
XRP rose to $0.5479 with a 5% gain in yesterday's trading. Today, the cryptocurrency, which has seen a partial withdrawal, is traded in the $ 0.53 region.
