CPI rejects calling Neymar father and Bolsonaro son; “Egomadinho do Bitcoin” is summoned
The Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) that deals with the Financial Pyramids decided this Wednesday (30) not to summon Neymar da Silva Santos, father of player Neymar Jr., nor Jair Renan Bolsonaro, son of former president Jair Bolsonaro.
In a quick movement, there was a reversal in the order of the agenda to vote first on Jair Renan's summons and, shortly afterwards, his summons was rejected by the deputies, generating outrage in the author of the request, Glauber Braga (PSOL-RJ). This was the first call request rejected by the commission since the beginning of the works.
According to the deputy, a maneuver was carried out by the parliamentarians, who took advantage of his leaving the CPI room to quickly change the agenda and vote on the summons. The president of the commission, Aureo Ribeiro (Solidariedade-RJ), said, however, that he should be careful and that there was no maneuver.
The son “04” of former president Jair Bolsonaro came under the CPI’s crosshairs due to his involvement with a failed action in a metaverse, which he abandoned after the project’s cryptocurrency collapsed by almost 90%.
Neymar family provided clarification
In the case of the father of the Al-Hilal player, deputy Caio Vianna (PSD-RJ), author of the request, withdrew his request from the agenda, explaining that the athlete's lawyers contacted the commission and made several documents available to provide clarification. , and, therefore, felt that his summons to the CPI was no longer necessary.
The request to summon Neymar Jr.'s father was made after the testimony of the president of Santos Futebol Clube, Andrés Rueda, who said that the connection between Santos and the Blaze casino was made by the player's family, who received 10% of the value of the R$45 million contract.
