Velvet Sundown, an AI band, just got dropped from the Future Sound Awards, basically the Grammys of AI music

The organizers said the project was pushing human artists out rather than lifting them up.

But the truth is, the whole AI music space is a mess right now. There’s no real structure for how things should work.

No standards for licensing the data models train on, no way to track where samples come from, no royalties flowing back to the creators being used as source material, and no credit for the work that gets remixed.

It’s the same thing we watched play out with image models, scrape the internet, remix it, make money, and toss the originals aside

@campnetworkxyz is one project trying to change that ⛺

With its Origin and mAItrix tools, music can actually become tokenized IP, meaning you can track derivatives and bake royalties into the system itself.

Instead of AI replacing artists, it could give them more control and even help their work spread further.

Because if nothing changes, AI music will just keep following the same exploitative cycle.

$CAMP approach feels like one of the few real attempts to break that cycle for good
