Just went to grab coffee at a local coffee shop and there was a GenXer proselytizing to a GenZ kid there.

She and her friend tried to pull me into her conversation, looking to me every time they made a point about some subjective understanding of culture while they talked about how amazing the new pope is.

I find it interesting, and curious, though, that so many people think GenZ is filled with bitter, resentful, rebellious, depressed kids. What they should be reading from GenZ is this is the first generation in decades that is so in-tune with themselves and the world around them that they know how to implement barriers, be direct, and be kind to others, without the need for validation and without harming the people they are engaging with. They are, perhaps, the most introspective and emotionally attuned generation, ever.

I see millennials and GenY trying to understand and integrate what GenZ is bringing to the table but they fail to capture the GenZ modus operandi fully.
