According to industry monitoring data, since mid-July when an ancient Bitcoin Whale entrusted a professional agency to sell 80,000 BTC, the market has already absorbed about 85% of the supply. Of this batch of Bitcoins, 68,000 have already entered circulation in the market through multiple channels.
The specific distribution is as follows: approximately 14,000 coins flowed into the Binance exchange, nearly 9,000 coins entered the Bitstamp platform, 7,420 coins were transferred to Bybit, and another 7,150 coins were sent to OKX. Notably, about 30,400 Bitcoins were transferred to multiple independent addresses, which may belong to the buyers of over-the-counter (OTC).
Currently, there are still about 12,000 Bitcoins (worth approximately 1.38 billion USD) from this batch of large quantities that have not been sold. However, industry analysts believe that considering the current market capacity and liquidity conditions, the sale of the remaining portion may have a relatively limited impact on the overall market.
This event once again highlights the activity level of the cryptocurrency market and the potential impact of large transactions on the market. At the same time, it reflects the market's ability to absorb a large supply in a short period of time, demonstrating its increasingly mature liquidity and depth. In the future, market participants will continue to closely monitor the disposal of the remaining Bitcoin and its possible impact on price trends.
