Bitcoin is advancing towards monetization, a trend that is attracting the attention of giants in the financial sector. Eli Ben-Sasson, the CEO of StarkWare, recently stated that the future of Bitcoin is to become a currency. His company has already taken concrete actions to convert its reserves into Bitcoin, demonstrating confidence in this digital asset.
At the same time, Larry Fink, the CEO of global asset management giant BlackRock, also expressed a positive view on Bitcoin. In his latest letter to shareholders, he mentioned that if U.S. Treasury bonds face serious issues, Bitcoin could become an alternative to the U.S. dollar. Fink also emphasized Bitcoin's potential as an anti-inflation tool, believing it has transcended mere speculative properties.
On a technical level, the development of Bitcoin is constantly breaking through. Historically, slow transaction speeds and high fees have been the main obstacles for Bitcoin as a payment tool. However, the application of Zero-Knowledge Proof (ZK) technology is expected to address these issues. This technology can significantly increase transaction speeds while reducing fees to very low levels, effectively alleviating network congestion.
In addition, the Bitcoin ecosystem is continuously improving and expanding. The application of the Lightning Network has made small payments more convenient, while the emerging BTCFi (Bitcoin Finance) services provide users with more asset appreciation pathways. These developments are activating a large amount of dormant Bitcoin assets, injecting new vitality into the entire ecosystem.
With the advancement of technology and the expansion of application scenarios, Bitcoin is gradually transitioning from a purely investment asset to a practical currency. This trend has not only attracted the attention of investors but has also garnered the interest of traditional financial institutions. In the future, we may see Bitcoin playing a role in a broader financial field, becoming an important part of the global digital economy.
