Global Digital Mining Summit 2025: Water Cooling Technology Leads New Breakthroughs in Mining Rig Efficiency
The Global Digital Mining Summit 2025 concluded successfully in Las Vegas.
From May 26 to 27, 2025, the 2025 Global Digital Mining Summit (WDMS 2025) was successfully held in Las Vegas, USA. This summit, themed "Water Cooling Technology Leading Efficiency Improvement, Creating a New Era for Mining", brought together industry elites to discuss cutting-edge technologies and development trends in the industry, aiming to promote the sustainable development of the global Proof of Work (PoW) ecosystem.
During the summit, a well-known mining machine manufacturer released its latest model, with a hash rate of 580T and an energy efficiency ratio reduced to 9.5J/T, setting a new industry record. This is the first time in the industry that the energy efficiency ratio of mining machines has broken through to below 10 J/T, marking the entry of digital mining into the "single-digit energy efficiency ratio" era. This breakthrough not only means further reduction in energy consumption per unit hash rate but also provides a more sustainable and cost-effective solution for large-scale mining site deployment, driving the entire industry towards a more efficient and environmentally friendly direction.
Multiple industry experts and opinion leaders delivered精彩 speeches at the summit. Matthew Prusak, CEO of American Bitcoin, discussed how the digital asset industry can establish effective communication mechanisms with policymakers to address key issues such as the regulatory environment, energy policies, and industry compliance. Alexander Neumueller from CCAF provided an in-depth interpretation of the 2025 Cambridge Digital Mining Industry Report. Ben Gagnon, CEO of Bitfarms, shared core insights on industry development from the perspective of globally leading publicly listed mining companies.
During the roundtable discussion, executives from Alps Blockchain, Phoenix Mining, Hut 8, and Luxor Technology Corporation engaged in in-depth exchanges on the new water-cooled data center project. They had a lively discussion covering various key aspects from theoretical design to practical operation, sharing valuable experiences and insights.
The conference also introduced various innovative technologies and solutions. A leading company showcased its water cooling solutions and services, offering container and data center design services suitable for multiple use scenarios, aimed at creating smarter, more environmentally friendly, and scalable water cooling data center solutions. Another company demonstrated a plug-and-play thermal recovery solution, which helps industry clients achieve energy reuse at a lower cost through integrated intelligent design.
As a top event in the digital mining field, WDMS 2025 once again provides a platform for in-depth communication for global mining practitioners and partners, promoting continuous development and innovation in the industry. Participants expressed that this summit not only showcased the latest technological advancements in digital mining but also pointed the way for the sustainable development of the industry in the future.
