According to The Block's news, the controversial altcoin Worldcoin ( with its new name World) is launching in the USA.

The cryptocurrency project World, supported by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, is set to launch in the US according to a published statement.

World (formerly known as Worldcoin) will be launched in six US cities, including Los Angeles and Miami, allowing users to earn WLD tokens by verifying their identities.

It was stated that the World will start in six cities: Atlanta, Austin, Los Angeles, Miami, Nashville, and San Francisco.

It was also stated that World will give WLD tokens to new users in exchange for registering.

World also announced that it will offer a Visa card linked to the World App for spending crypto. Accordingly, World plans to launch a Visa card that allows users to pay for products and services using their WLD tokens and other cryptocurrencies.

The new card will be available for sale in the United States later this year.

"World Card will connect directly to an individual’s World App wallet and allow them to spend their digital assets anywhere Visa is accepted."

While traders can seamlessly obtain fiat currency without needing to understand crypto, individuals can gain flexibility in how they use their digital assets.

World also stated that it has partnered with Match Group, the parent company behind popular dating apps Tinder, Hinge, Match.com, and Plenty of Fish.

According to this, World said that the partnership with Match will start with a pilot program aimed at Tinder users in Japan.

World also added that application users will be able to access the prediction marketplace Kalshi.
