Schultz: Germany will not 'please' Trump

On January 21st, Jinshi Data reported that German Chancellor Scholz stated at the World Economic Forum that Germany will 'not pretend to please' Trump's decision. Scholz said that the new US president will keep the world in suspense about his trade, energy, diplomatic, and security policy plans. However, he also stated that the world should remain 'calm' when Trump expresses his views on social media. He insisted that the United States remains Germany's closest ally outside of Europe.
