On April 29th, Jinshi Data reported that during a regular press conference, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian presided over the conference. When asked about US Secretary of State Blinken's recent interview with US National Public Radio and Cable News Network, in which he claimed to have seen evidence of China trying to influence and interfere in the US election, and that the US would seriously study any Chinese interference in the US election, Lin Jian stated that non-interference in internal affairs is one of the basic principles of Chinese diplomacy. The US election is an internal affair of the United States, and China has never been interested in, nor will it intervene in any way. At the same time, we firmly oppose anyone who, for the purpose of elections, uses China as a scapegoat and undermines China's interests. The US should stop being suspicious, stop making baseless accusations, stop shifting blame and responsibility, and instead do more to promote stability in China-US relations and the interests of the two peoples.
