Why the XRP Army Is Furious Instead of Celebrating Its New All-Time High

When XRP hit a new all-time high last week, one would expect its devoted fans to rejoice. But instead, many members of the notorious XRP Army expressed frustration, anger, and disappointment. Why? Because, according to them, this ATH came far too late – and the main culprit is the U.S. SEC.

🔹 "We waited for SEVEN DAMN YEARS!" “We’re damn furious that we had to wait SEVEN F**KING YEARS,” said MackAttackXRP, one of the loudest voices in the XRP Army. And he’s not alone. Many hardcore supporters feel that the recent price rally is something that should have happened long ago – if it weren’t for the drawn-out legal battle with the SEC, which they believe completely derailed XRP’s market trajectory. While Bitcoin and other top cryptocurrencies repeatedly set new records, XRP remained stagnant. Only now, after years of legal uncertainty, has XRP finally bounced back – but the bitterness of lost time lingers among investors.

🔹 An Army That Survived It All Over the years, the XRP Army has earned a reputation as one of the most loyal and battle-hardened communities in the crypto space. These “digital soldiers” tirelessly promote XRP on social media, defend its reputation in discussions, and preach its strengths: speed, fairness, and low fees. As fellow member John Squire puts it:

“It’s not just about the ATH. It’s about being sidelined while others thrived. The SEC slowed us down, and small investors paid the price.”

🔹 A Legal Battle That Wounded the Community Ripple’s legal fight with the SEC has been ongoing since late 2020, when the regulator accused Ripple and its executives of conducting an unregistered $1.3 billion securities offering. Though the court later ruled that most XRP sales were not securities, the case dragged on and damaged investor confidence. Only with the shift in political leadership — specifically Trump’s second term — did crypto regulation start to loosen. In March 2025, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse claimed the case was essentially over, although a $125 million fine is still unresolved.

🔹 The Community Holds the Line Despite the setbacks, many XRP Army members never gave up. Their perseverance through years of stagnation and legal hurdles is, in their eyes, what makes the community special. “I didn’t chase the hype. I stayed focused on XRP’s fundamentals and future,” said Squire. MackAttackXRP added:

“We fight. Every day. We’re an army of honest people who want a fair financial system.” Their frustration also targets crypto media and Bitcoin maximalists, who they feel have mocked XRP for years. Ironically, one popular joke is that all XRP holders are Uber drivers — a meme the XRP Army now reclaims with humor.

“I’m not an Uber driver. I’m a damn retired crypto millionaire,” laughed James Rule.

🔹 When Will XRP Truly Celebrate? Although XRP reached a new ATH (currently $3.48), for many in the XRP Army, that’s not enough. Some are waiting for $5, while others — like MackAttackXRP — refuse to sell until it hits $27. “We’ve been saying it for years. Technical analysis never lies – only the timeline can vary,” he declared. It’s that level of belief and resilience, despite all odds, that makes the XRP Army both formidable and infuriated. Because as they themselves say:

“We’re still NOT HAPPY. We’re angry. Very angry about what happened.”
