CFTC Commissioner Mersinger: The U.S. may open trading for perpetual futures on Crypto Assets.
According to TheBlock, U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) commissioner Summer Mersinger announced that the approval of cryptocurrency perpetual futures for trading in the U.S. is under discussion. Mersinger plans to step down as a CFTC commissioner on May 30 and will subsequently assume the role of CEO of the Blockchain Association. During her tenure, she was instrumental in establishing a regulatory framework for digital assets between the CFTC and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
